Sparkle in Every Story
Paillette Magazine is an online magazine and blog founded by Charlotte Hardie-Watts. Our mission is to deliver engaging and relevant content across various sections, including Fashion, Arts & Culture, and Global topics. Currently, I aim to publish weekly articles and, eventually, release a digital magazine.
I am a second-year Journalism and Politics student at Cardiff University, actively contributing to various student media outlets on campus while also pursuing freelance writing opportunities with external news platforms. This blog serves as a platform to further expand my journalistic experience by allowing me to design my own pages, create original content, and oversee the editorial process for all aspects of the blog. This project is very important to me as I aspire to become a magazine editor in the future.
My goal is to publish one article per week across the blog’s key sections, which currently include Fashion, Arts & Culture, and Global. In the future, I aim to collaborate with other talented aspiring journalists and writers, inviting them to pitch their own ideas for these sections to the magazine’s email linked below. This collaboration will also contribute to the eventual creation of the blog’s first digital magazine edition.
The core mission of this blog is to deliver unique, engaging, and relevant content, crafted in a concise and original style that resonates with readers. All articles published here are exclusive to this platform, ensuring that the blog maintains its distinct voice and identity.
I had the idea to name the magazine Paillette as it means ‘glitter’ in French. My French identity is very important to me so, naturally, I wanted to transcribe a piece of that into this project. Glitter shines bright and I wanted to create something that would add sparkle and creativity in the writers’ and readers’ minds.
